- Campus Tour and Team-Building Activities for newly enrolled students in 2021
- On April 2, 2021, the College of Sport Science conducted campus tours and team building activities for new-comers in 2021. From the 2020, the "Campus Tour and Team Building Activity" was conducted to resolve the difficulties of new students in adapting to school due to non-face-to-face student activities under COVID-19 pandemic situations. For safe campus tours and team building activities in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, a total of nine groups were formed to conduct campus tours and team building activities with small personnel from each group. Through the campus tour, facilities in the natural science campus were introduced to new students, and during the team building time, they had an opportunity to strengthen the bond between new students and enrolled students through Flying Disk News Sports. This event was held in compliance with quarantine guidelines such as preparing a preliminary questionnaire, measuring body temperature, and keeping a distance in the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

- Winners of the President's List in College of Sport Science
- On December 29, 2020, a celebration was held at the office of the dean to award the President's List winners of the 2020 School of Sports Science at hall of Suseong in Natural Science Campus. In accordance with the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, Dean Jang Kyung-ro, head of the department Um Gil-ho, and winners Yoon Jae-ho, and Hyung Soo-kyung attended the event. The President's List system was implemented in 2019 to realize a "global leading university that creates student success and future value." Starting with "student success" as the core value of the university, the system was created to discover student success cases that show the appearance of handcrafted people, and to celebrate their achievements and promote student success cases by encouraging students' efforts and dedication on behalf of Sungkyunkwan. As a case of student success at this school, △ Students who strive to achieve their dreams and goals with self-directed creativity, pioneering, and challenging spirit, △ Students who have positively influenced fellow students and raised their status as schools and strive for continuous growth. Based on this, it was recommended by each college, student success center, and education and development center, and among them, President's List candidates were selected and awarded awards, medals and souvenirs. Following the first President's List winner Kim Min-soo, Yoon Jae-ho and Hyung Soo-kyung were finally selected as winners of the second President's List.

- Industry-Academic Cooperation MOU between College of Sport Science MOU and GA Korea
- On December 4, 2020, College of Sports Science(Dean Kyung-ro, Jang) and GA Korea Co., Ltd. (General President Yong-sung, Lee) signed the "Industry-Academic Cooperation MOU." The main content of the agreement is to expand opportunities to foster sports professionals through practical education, exchange human resources, and cooperate with each other for the development of the Korean sports industry. In addition to GA Korea, Sports Science University leads the sports industry and contributes to the development of the sports industry through industry-academic cooperation agreements with various organizations in the sports industry, including KT sports, Golfzone, CJ sports, Pyeongtaek Civic Football Team, and the Korea Professional Golf Association. In particular, the agreement plans to establish a program to foster professionals who can contribute to the development of the golf industry among the sports industry. Dean Jang Kyung-ro said, "We shared the experience of fostering talent at Sports Science University and GA Korea's golf industry operation experience to pave the way for fostering talent to contribute to the development of the domestic golf industry through industry-academic cooperation." GA Korea Co., Ltd. is a global company that operates golf-related facilities and businesses at home and abroad, and plays an important role in the development of the domestic golf industry. Chairman Lee Dong-joon said, "This industry-academic cooperation will serve as an opportunity to take the golf industry to the next level with Sungkyunkwan University," adding, "GA Korea Co., Ltd. will support fostering golf professionals in the future."

- The Sports Mentoring and Real Tips (SMART) was held
- The Sports Mentoring and Real Tips (SMART) was held on December 12 (Thu) in the Seminar Room of Research Complex 1, Natural Sciences Campus. Through the meeting between graduates and students, this event strengthens the bond and provides students with a chance to explore their career paths. About 100 people attended the event, including nine alumni (Hong Seong-in (92), Shim Sang-bo (94), Kim Hyo-seung (01), Park Young-min (01), Lee Sang-min (01), Min Ji-hoon (02), Jang Se-won (04), Park Chun-bung (06), and Park Hye-mi (06). This has shown that many people were very interested in this event. Starting with Cha Young-ki's alumni scholarship and SSS scholarship delivery ceremony that was first awarded this year, the event was held under various programs such as alumni introduction, the special lecture by Hong Sung-in who was the representative of mentors , celebratory performances, and mentor-mentee meetings. It became a meaningful place to deliver the experience and advice of graduates to the students and share their thoughts about the future of the students.

- SKKU's american football team Royals won the 2019 National University American Football Championship
- SungKyunKwan University's american football team Royals (director Lee Yong-wook) won the 2019 National University American Football Championship (Tiger Ball) after 62 years of establishment. The Royals, who won the semifinals of the National Championship against Chung-Ang University on Nov. 16 (Sat), had a final match with Yonsei University at KwanMoon Sports Park in Gwacheon on Nov. 30 (Sat). In the final, the Royals won by a landslide 41:28 to lift the tournament trophy. It was the first win since the founding of the team. The match was attended by spectators interested in american football and many alumni of SungKyunKwan University, who joined the team to celebrate their victory. The victory further boosted Sungkyunkwan University's athletic status.

- Installation of VR Sports Zone for Sports Interaction Education and Research at the College of Sport Science
- Installation of VR Sports Zone for Sports Interaction Education and Research Golf Zone, donation of screen golf system to foster future talent and assist in research on VR/AR November 27 (Wed.) Conducting a work agreement ceremony at Sports VR Zone in Suseonggwan The Graduate School of Sports Interaction Science (SIS below) of the College of Sport Science installed VR Sports Zone based on support for SIS project by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, support from SKKU, and donation of the screen golf system of the Golf Zone. In addition, our university signed an industry-academic cooperation with Golf Zone (CEO Park Ki-won) at Sports VR Zone (Suseonggwan, the Natural Sciences Campus) in order to foster future IT talent, and received the Golf Zone's screen golf system. President Shin Dong-ryeol, CEO Park Ki-won of Golf Zone, dean of the College of Sport Science Jang Kyung-ro, dean of SIS Kim Tae-hee, professors of the College of Sport Science, and pro-golfer In Joo-yeon from our university attended the ceremony. The main content of the agreement is that our university's College of Sport Science and Golf Zone will actively utilize and cooperate with each other's infrastructure and resources to develop the Korean sports industry in the future and to enhance the scientific quality and creativity of our faculty and students. In addition, Golf Zone will conduct practical training on VR/AR to expand opportunities for fostering sports professionals and exchange human resources. The donated Golf Zone's screen golf system will be used for VR/AR-related classes in SIS and liberalized golf classes. It is also expected to be actively used for research activities by professors of SIS. "Golf zone's screen golf system allows us to provide students with a higher level of classroom environment. In the future, we expect to create synergy in various areas through industry-academic cooperation between the Golf Zone and SKKU's College of Sport Science," President Shin Dong-ryeol said. "We have contributed to this agreement to foster young talent that will lead the nation`s future," said Park Ki-won, CEO of Golf Zone. "Through the golf platform, we will make efforts to show off various future technologies, and we will fulfill our corporate social responsibilities through continued social contribution activities in the future," he added.

- The 2nd Academic Seminar hosted by Colloge of Sport Science was held
- On November 12, 2019, the 2nd Academic Seminar hosted by Colloge of Sport Science was held at Suseonggwan, Sungkyunkwan University. A total of four teams participated on this day, selecting interesting theme in the field of sports science, and present their presentations. Many students and professors of Colloge of Sports Science showed up at the seminar. In this academic year, Hyot & Milt (Kim Hyo-jin(15), Kim A-mil(18)) team won the Grand Prize, and Mujimakji (Lee Ha-ram, Yoon Se-chang, Hyeong Su-kyung(18), Hur Sung-ho(19)) won the Excellence Award. - “Lost but Fighted well” SKKU, defeated at Yonsei Univ., runner-up
- Sungkyunkwan University lost to Yonsei University at 68-78 in the U-League Championships at the 2019 KUSF College Basketball held at the Sinchon Campus Gymnasium at Yonsei University on October 27th. Sungkyunkwan University, which first reached the final stage after the University Basketball League was launched in 2010, was applauded by fans with the best to the end. Yonsei won the championship title for the fourth consecutive year with a victory. Sungkyunkwan University struggled with Jun-woo Yang (23 points and 6 rebounds) and Yoon-soo Lee (15 points and 13 rebounds) from the semifinals, but it was not enough to prevent the team from losing. On the other hand, Yonsei University won the victory with Seung-hee Han (14 points and 9 rebounds) and Kyung-won Kim (14 points and 17 rebounds). The MVP of the match was Yonsei University captain Kyung-won Kim. Sungkyunkwan University did not give up with full coat press until the end. - SKKU among Top 3 Korean Universities in 2020 US News Rankings
- SKKU among Top 3 Korean Universities in 2020 US News Rankings In the recent “Best Global Universities Rankings” announced by U.S. News & World Report, Sungkyunkwan University took 195th place. The top 3 universities in Korea are Seoul National University (128th), Sungkyunkwan University (195th) and KAIST (252nd). Harvard University took first place in the ranking. In this year’s ranking, the number of participating countries and universities have increased. The number of countries increased from 75 to 81 and 1,500 universities were listed in the ranking.

- The graduation ceremony and the welcoming ceremony for freshmen were held
- The graduation ceremony and welcoming ceremony for freshmen, which were hosted by the College of Sport Science for the 2nd semester 2019, were held at 5 pm on October 11 at Suseonggwan. On this day, Dr. Hyo-min Seo (Dept. of Sports Marketing), who graduated from the Graduate School of SKKU and was appointed as a full-time faculty member of Chosun University, attended the event and shared the joy. A total of two students received a degree: one doctor (Yong-gyu Choi) and one master (Ra-young Kim). A total of seven students were enrolled as freshmen: four doctoral programs (CHENTIAN, Min-kyu Joo, Jung-hyun Kim, Ju-won Choi), three master's programs (Dan-bi Heo, Yung-rin Lee, Chan-ho Ahn). The event was attended by graduates and freshmen, as well as many on and off-campus members. Prof. Kyung-ro Chang, Dean of the College of Sport Science, praised graduates for their hard work. It was also a great place to congratulate the freshmen who became new members of the College of Sport Science.
